Riederau Bridge

The Riederau bridge in the north of Kempten (Allgäu) is the bridge of the north spade over the Iller . It got its name from the hamlet of Riederau to the right of the river . The foundation work for the new bridge was carried out under special conditions, as the piles for the bridge were built in soft subsoil at a depth of 30 meters. The bridge structure is a three-span bridge with a span of 102 meters and an additional bike and footpath. The bridge was opened to traffic on November 6, 2015, together with the north spade. It connects Johann-Abt-Straße near the Stiftsbleiche on the left east side of the Iller with Thomas-Dachser-Straße near Riederau, which connects to the east with Porschestraße . These street names were reassigned in March 2014 by the building committee of the city of Kempten, as was the name for the bridge.
