Riekje Weber
Riekje Weber (born January 28, 1963 in Oldenburg (Oldenburg) ) is a Hamburg politician of the Social Democratic Party of Germany (SPD) and a former member of the Hamburg Parliament .
Life and work
Weber studied sociology , systematic musicology , folklore and psychology at the University of Hamburg . She graduated with a degree in sociology . The topic of her diploma thesis in 1988 was "Narrative interviews with female dance music singers". During her time as a member of parliament she worked as a musician and on her dissertation . She was the managing director of “Rock City Hamburg e. V. "
Today she works in the cultural authority and is responsible for the area "Project Funds Music"

Weber has been a member of the SPD since 1981.
She was a member of the Hamburg parliament in the 14th electoral term from 1991 to 1993. There she sat for her parliamentary group in the committee for science and research, in the committee for equality of women and in the culture committee.
