Huge culture award
The Rieser Kulturpreis has been awarded by the Rieser Kulturtage e. V. in Nördlingen is awarded every two years during the Rieser Kulturtage . The award goes to personalities or organizations who have made a special contribution to the Ries . The prize is endowed with a sum of 5,000 euros (official website: "10,000 DM"). Furthermore, a commemorative publication documents the achievements of the award winners.
In 2001, the prize was awarded for the first time to two women whom Karin Stoiber , the wife of the former Bavarian Prime Minister, called “a role model for other women” in her laudation.
