Walter Barsig
Walter Barsig (born May 19, 1932 in Beuthen (Upper Silesia) ; † May 31, 2012 in Huisheim ) was a German teacher, specialist and non-fiction author.
Career
Barsig was the head of the state education authority in the Donau-Ries district . From 1972 to 2002 he was local councilor in Huisheim and from 1978 to 1996 district councilor in the Donau-Ries district. He was a co-founder and from 1975 to 1989 1st chairman of the Rieser Kulturtage .
He is the author of student and teacher handbooks as well as homeland books and commemorative publications.
