The Rifugio Maison Vieille is a refuge in the Aosta Valley in the Graian Alps . It is located at an altitude of 1956  m in the Val Veny side valley within the municipality of Courmayeur on the Col Chécrouit. The hut is managed from the beginning of December to the end of April and from mid-June to mid-September and offers 54 mountaineers sleeping places during this time.

The hut is located both on the popular Tour du Mont-Blanc and on the Alta via della Val d'Aosta n.2 .

The Rifugio Maison Vieille was built in 1976 on the site of an old alpine pasture.

rise

The La Maison Vieille refuge can be reached on foot from Pré de Pascal in Val Veny. It takes about 2 hours from Dolonne near Courmayeur. The transition from the Monte Bianco mountain hut takes 40 minutes.

The refuge can also be reached by the Courmayeur cable car and the Maison Vieille chairlift, which are open in July and August in addition to the winter season.
