Riho Sayashi

Riho Sayashi ( Japanese 鞘 師 里 保 , Sayashi Riho ; born May 28, 1998 in Hiroshima Prefecture , Japan ) is a former member of the Japanese girl group Morning Musume under the umbrella of Hello! Projects . In 2010 she won the Kyuukie Audition and became part of the 9th generation of Morning Musume. She is the niece of the former baseball player Tomoya Sayashi who played for the Hiroshima Tōyō Carp . Before joining Morning Musume, Sayashi attended ASH, an acting school in Hiroshima, which the members of the girl group Perfume had already attended.

biography

In 2010 Sayashi took part in the Jc & Jk Joyū Audition ( Jc & Jk 女優 オ ー デ ィ シ ョ ン ) and won a role in Morning Musume's play Fashionable . In the same year, she submitted her application for the Kyuukie Audition , the audition for the 9th Generation Morning Musumes. She won the final round together with Erina Ikuta and Kanon Suzuki . With the official presentation of the new generation at the winter concert of Hello! Projects on January 2, 2011, Sayashi became an active member with the other girls. The new generation debut song "Maji desu ka Ska" was released on April 6th. Sayashi is also, along with Kanon Suzuki, the first member born after the group was founded.

Since she joined, Sayashi had an important place in the group. She was established early on as one of the main singers, is the center in dance formations and can also boast four photo books and six solo DVDs, more than any other current group member. Furthermore, she has taken on a leading role in every play since Stacey's. In October 2015, Sayashi announced that it would be leaving Morning Musume for the year-end event on December 31st. She plans to study dance abroad.

Sayashi has been a temporary member of the kawaii metal band Babymetal since June 28, 2019 . During the world tour, she will rotate with two other dancers in the position that became vacant after Yui Mizuno left. Among other things, she performed at the Glastonbury Festival .
