The Rila Point ( Bulgarian носът Рила nosat Rila ) is a headland on the south coast of Livingston Island in the archipelago of the South Shetland Islands . In Moon Bay it forms the east side of the entrance to Bruix Cove . It is located 8.75 km west of Renier Point , 7.4 km east of Atanasoff-Nunatak , 4.3 km north-northeast of Plovdiv Peak and 3.2 km northwest of Delchev Peak .
The Bulgarian Commission for Antarctic Geographical Names named it in 2002 after the Rila Mountains in southwestern Bulgaria .
