Rimantas Karazija

Rimantas Karazija (born March 22, 1936 in Kupiškis , Lithuania ; † August 1, 2012 in Kaunas , Lithuania) was a Lithuanian veterinarian , veterinarian, former diplomat and Minister of Agriculture of Lithuania.

biography

In 1954 Rimantas Karazija graduated from the Kupiškis Middle School and studied veterinary medicine in the diploma course until 1959 and from 1963 to 1966 in the aspirantur at the Lietuvos veterinarijos akademija in Kaunas . In 1967 he received his doctorate in veterinary medicine and worked as a research assistant at the Institute for Veterinary Medicine. He has been a professor since 1989 .

From 1992 to 1994 Rimantas Karazija was the Minister of Agriculture of Lithuania and from 1995 to 1999 the Lithuanian Ambassador for Latvia in Riga .
