Vytautas Einoris

Vytautas Einoris (born February 7, 1930 in Urnėniškis, Kupiškis district ; † January 7, 2019 in Kaunas ) was a Lithuanian agronomist and politician .

Life

Vytautas Einoris had 11 siblings. In 1948 he was an agricultural engineer at Wolost Kupreliškis .

From 1949 to 1952 he attended the agricultural school in Vabalninkas and from 1957 to 1959 the technical center for mechanization and electrification of agriculture in the Lithuanian capital Vilnius . In 1965 he completed a diploma in agronomy at the Faculty of Economics of the Lithuanian Agricultural Academy in Kaunas .

From 1970 to 1981 Vytautas Einoris was Soviet-Lithuanian Deputy Minister for Agricultural Production , from 1981 to 1985 Minister for Fruit and Vegetable Industry , and in Lithuania, which had regained its independence, from 1993 to 1994 Ambassador to Kazakhstan and from 1994 to 1996 Minister of Agriculture of Lithuania . He was a member of the Seimas in 1995, 1996 and from 2000 to 2004 .

From 1990 Einoris was a member of the Democratic Labor Party of Lithuania and at times its deputy chairman.
