Ringo Herrig (born September 16, 1975 in Dresden ) is a former German football player in central defense. He played for Energie Cottbus in the 2nd Bundesliga .
Career
Herrig played in his youth at TSG Wieseck and at VfB 1900 Gießen . He then worked for the youth teams of Eintracht Frankfurt , VfB Stuttgart and FC Schalke 04 . At Borussia Dortmund he made it into the second team before moving to Dynamo Dresden in 1993 . There Herrig occasionally played in the first team in the Regionalliga Nordost . In 1997 he was signed by FC Energie Cottbus. By the end of his career in 1999, he had played 22 games in the 2nd Bundesliga.
