Rita Lü

Rita Lü (actually Rita Lützenkirchen ; born May 5, 1959 in Brühl ) is a German draftsman, painter and installation artist .

Life

Rita Lützenkirchen grew up in the village of Fliesteden in the Bergheim (Erft) district . In 1978 she passed the final examination at the Erftgymnasium in Bergheim .

After her marriage she devoted herself to raising her two sons. She autodidactically acquired the skills for her artistic work.

Rita Lü is the initiator of the Erftkreis Cologne (KEK) women artists' association. Since 2011 she has been involved in the political protest movement Occupy in Cologne .

She lives in Kaster and Cologne.

Artistic creation

Rita Lü has exhibited drawings and photographic works as well as sculptures and installations. She has also illustrated books.

Her works were in Germany a. a. shown in Augsburg ( Toskanische Säulenhalle) , Berlin ( Kleisthaus ), Bonn ( Women's Museum) , Cologne ( Christ Church , Rudolfplatz; Friedenskirche, Cologne-Mülheim ) and Leipzig ( Literaturhaus) .

They have been shown abroad, including a. in Eupen , Kingston NY , New York , Petrozavodsk , Santo Domingo (Dominican Republic).
