The River Lostock is a watercourse in Lancashire , England . It arises at the confluence of Slack Brook and Whave's Brook northwest of Whitnell Fold .

It flows first in a south-westerly and then westerly direction and passes under the M61 motorway to flow through the village to the south of Whittle-le-Woods and to the west of it to change its direction to the north. It reaches the south of Bamber Bridge , where it changes its course first west and shortly afterwards south to flow through west of Leyland . In the south of this place the watercourse changes its direction again to the west and then flows into the River Yarrow in the west of Croston .
