The River Rom in Romford |
The River Rom is a watercourse in Essex and the London Borough of Havering . It is being built as Bourne Brook on the Stapleford Abbots Golf Course east of Stapleford Abbots . It flows first in north, then west and finally south through Stapleford Abbots. It changes its name to the River Rom south of the town and flows from here in a southerly direction to the east of Collier Row and through Romford . It runs underground through the center of Romford. From the south of Romford it represents the border between the London Borough of Havering and the London Borough of Barking and Dagenham . It runs west of Elm Park and east of Dagenham. At Dagenham it changes its name to the Beam River , as it flows into the Thames .
