The Rivière Jupiter is the largest river on the Île d'Anticosti in the Gulf of Saint Lawrence .

The river has its source in the range of hills in the interior of the island on the western edge of the Parc national d'Anticosti . It flows from Lac Louise in a westerly direction through the interior of the island and curves to the south. It flows through a gorge up to 100 m deep. The Rivière Jupiter finally flows into the Baie Bonsecours on the south coast of the Île d'Anticosti . The river forms an estuary at its mouth , which is separated from the sea by a headland. The Rivière Jupiter has a length of 76 km. It drains an area of ​​964 km². The mean discharge is 20 m³ / s.
