Riyas Komu , also Riyaz Komu , (* 1971 in the Thrissur district , in the state of Kerala , India ) is an Indian artist and sculptor .

Life

Komu went to Bombay in 1992 to study literature. In 1997 he obtained the title Bachelor of Arts and in 1987 the Master of Arts at the Sir Jamsetjee Jeejebhoy School of Art there . His exhibition activities include national and international joint and solo exhibitions.

  • 2010: Kerala Lalit Kala Academy Academy Fellowship for the entire year.
  • 1999: Critic's Choice of the National Gallery of Modern Art in Mumbai.
  • 1996: Bombay Art Society Award .
  • 1995: Maharashtra State Art Prize .
