Rob Daviau (born 1970 in Maine ) is an American game designer best known for developing the first legacy games . In addition to working on independent games, as a former Hasbro employee , he mainly developed special editions for various established board games .

biography

Rob Daviau started as a game designer in 1998 and developed more than 70 games by 2016, focusing on both children's and family games as well as tactical board games. In addition, there were various additional and special editions for established board games such as Trivial Pursuit , Monopoly , Stratego and Risk as well as editions of the role-playing game Heroscape . In 2011 the game Risk Evolution , in the original Risk Evolution , was released on the basis of Risk , which is designed as the first legacy game and is accordingly characterized by permanent changes to the game material. The cooperative board game Pandemic Legacy (Season 1) , released in 2015, relies on the game Pandemie by Matt Leacock , with whom Daviau collaborated on this, and applies the legacy concept to this game. Another game of its kind he developed SeaFall in 2016 .
