Robert Aliber

Robert Zelwin Aliber (born September 19 1930 in Keene , New Hampshire ) is an American economist and emeritus professors .

Career, research and teaching

Aliber studied at Williams College and Cambridge University . After graduating there as a Bachelor of Arts , he completed his Master of Arts degree in Cambridge in 1957 . He then moved to Yale University , where he received his Ph.D. completed.

Aliber remained loyal to the scientific enterprise and in 1965 joined the Graduate School of Business at the University of Chicago . He stayed here until his retirement in 2004 and distinguished himself in particular through the establishment and development of the Center for Studies in International Finance .

The international financial system is at the heart of Aliber's work. He examines, among other things, the capital flows between the various markets, international relationships within corporations and banks.
