Robert Allgäuer

Robert Gebhard Allgäuer (born January 17, 1937 in Eschen , Liechtenstein ) is a Liechtenstein author and publisher. Between 1961 and 1972 he was the first state librarian and state archivist in Liechtenstein.

biography

Robert Allgäuer was the first child of his parents Reinold Alexander Allgäuer from Eschen and Maria Albertina (Berta), geb. Bühler, born in Mauren . At the age of twelve he went to the Progymnasium in Rebstein , then switched to the boarding school in Immensee and finished the grammar school in Stans . He then studied in Friborg .

In 1961 he became the first state librarian and state archivist for the Principality of Liechtenstein. In 1972, Prince Franz Josef II appointed him cabinet director at Vaduz Castle .

In 1984 Allgäuer founded the Schalun publishing house in Vaduz . He has worked as an initiator, proofreader, editor, author, editor, editor and publisher in a large number of publications on the culture and history of Liechtenstein. From 1985 to 1994 he presided over the cultural advisory board of the Liechtenstein government.
