Robert Bach (politician)

Robert Bach (born December 7, 1901 in Limbach , † June 10, 1976 in Neunkirchen ) was a German trade unionist and politician ( SPD ).

Life

After attending school, Bach completed an apprenticeship as a miner and then worked in this profession. He was fired for political reasons in 1937, but reinstated with the outbreak of World War II .

From 1945 to 1947 Bach worked as a tax auditor at the AOK in Homburg . In 1947 he switched to the mining industry association of the Saar union as a secretary . After the union was banned by the Saarland government in 1953, he was initially unemployed, but was reinstated when the association was re-admitted in September 1956. Since the accession of the Saarland to the Federal Republic of Germany he was union secretary of the IG Bergbau .

Political party

Bach had been a member of the SPD since 1920.

Bach was a member of the German Bundestag from October 27, 1959, when he replaced Member of Parliament Rudolf Recktenwald , until 1961. It entered parliament via the SPD's state list in Saarland .
