Rudolf Recktenwald

Rudolf "Rudi" Recktenwald (born August 23, 1920 in Urexweiler ; † June 22, 2010 ibid) was a German politician ( SPD ).

Life

Recktenwald was born the son of a master blacksmith. He learned his father's profession and passed the examination as a master blacksmith. He then took part in World War II as a soldier . In 1945 he took over his father's forge.

Recktenwald was accepted into the NSDAP on September 1, 1939 ( membership number 7,159,442). He had been a member of the SPD since 1952 and from 1955 to 1974 chairman of the SPD local branch in Urexweiler.

Recktenwald was a member of the district council of St. Wendel . He was a member of the Saarland Landtag from 1955 to 1975 and served as its vice-president from 1961 to 1975. He was a member of the German Bundestag from August 11, 1959, when he replaced Member of Parliament Kurt Conrad , until his resignation on October 20, 1959. He entered parliament via the Saarland state list. From 1956 to 1974 he was mayor of the community of Urexweiler.
