Robert Belding

Robert Belding (born December 31, 1902 in Fahrland ; † after 1947) was a German National Socialist functionary. He was head of the Reichsbetriebsgemeinschaft 2 Textile of the German Labor Front (DAF) as well as the editor and publisher of the trade journal for the textile industry .

Life

He was the son of the column leader Hermann Belding and his wife Anna nee Rohrlack. After attending the community school in Fahrland, he started a five-year course in electronics, textiles and clothing, passed a chemical engineering exam and started a commercial apprenticeship. He then worked as an accountant and as a chemical technician. He then worked as a department head in large-scale industry. Robert Belding completed his military service from 1919 to 1921 in the 5th Guards Regiment on foot in Spandau and in the March 6th Regiment. He belonged to several volunteer corps, which is why he received several awards. After the " seizure of power " by the National Socialists in 1933, he was employed as Reichsbetriebsgemeinschaftleiter 2 Textile of the German Labor Front. Like several of Robert Ley's pupils, he was relieved of his post in 1935 . From 1939 to 1945 Belding was the managing partner of the chemical works Dr. Georg Henning. From 1947 he received a disability pension. The date of his death is unknown.
