Robert Ciba (* 29. November 1969 in Chmielnik , Poland ) is a former Polish boxers in the bantamweight . The five-time Polish champion was vice-European champion in 1993 and vice-world champion in 1995, and he also took part in the 1992 Olympic Games.

Career

Robert Ciba trained in the Walka Zabrze and Olimpia Posen clubs . He was Polish champion in 1990, 1991, 1992, 1993 and 1999, and vice-champion in 1989, 1994, 1995 and 1997. He won the international Feliks Stamm Tournament held in Poland in 1990 and 1994.

At the European Championships in Athens in 1989 he won a bronze medal, reached the round of 16 of the 1989 World Championships in Moscow , the quarter-finals of the 1991 European Championships in Gothenburg and the quarter-finals of the 1991 World Championships in Sydney .

In the European Olympic qualification in 1991 in Halle, he fought for a starting place for the 1992 Olympic Games in Barcelona , where he was eliminated in the preliminary round against Mohammed Sabo.

At the European Championships in 1993 in Bursa and the World Championships in Berlin in 1995 , he was able to win the silver medal after he was defeated in both finals against Raimkul Malachbekow .

At the 1996 European Championships in Vejle , he was eliminated in the round of 16.
