Robert "Bob" Falkenburg (born January 29, 1926 in Brooklyn , New York City ) is a former American and Brazilian tennis player .

Falkenburg won the men's final at Wimbledon against John Bromwich in 1948 , after he was already 3: 5 and 15:40 behind in the fifth set. The match ended 7: 5, 0: 6, 6: 2, 3: 6, 7: 5. At the US Open in 1944 he won the doubles competition.

In the Davis Cup , Falkenburg, who was married to a Brazilian, competed for Brazil in 1954 and 1955 .

Falkenburg founded the Bob’s fast food chain .
