Bob’s (Fluminense pronunciation: [bɔβ (i) ʃ], Brazilian pronunciation: [bɔps], Lusitanian pronunciation: [bɔβ (ɨ) ʃ]) is the first Brazilian fast food chain, founded in 1952 by the American-Brazilian tennis player Robert Falkenburg , Wimbledon tournament winner in 1948. The first store opened on Copacabana in Rio de Janeiro .

Falkenburg (also known as "Bob") was the first to introduce the concept of fast food in Brazil. In 1984 Bob's started a franchise system and opened new stores in Vitória, Espírito Santo. Since then, Bob's has been expanding within Brazil and internationally. Today there are over 1100 stores in Brazil, of which around 320 are franchise businesses. There are also some shops in Portugal ( Carcavelos , Algés and Bragança ) as well as in Chile and Angola .
