Robert Francis Vasa (born May 7, 1951 in Lincoln , Nebraska ) is Roman Catholic Bishop of Santa Rosa, California .

Life

Robert Francis Vasa was ordained a priest for the Diocese of Lincoln on May 22, 1976 .

Pope John Paul II named him Bishop of Baker on November 19, 1999 . The Archbishop of Portland, Oregon , John George Vlazny , donated him episcopal ordination on January 26, 2000 ; Co- consecrators were his predecessor Thomas Joseph Connolly and the Bishop of Lincoln, Fabian Wendelin Bruskewitz .

On January 24, 2011, he was appointed coadjutor of the diocese of Santa Rosa in California by Pope Benedict XVI. With the resignation of Daniel Francis Walsh on June 30, 2011 Vasa succeeded him as Bishop of Santa Rosa in California.
