Robert George "Bob" Henderson is a sound engineer .

Life

Henderson began his career in television in the late 1960s. Between 1967 and 1970 he worked on 72 episodes of the television series A Cage Full of Heroes . After his film debut in 1974, the horror film The House on Skull Mountain with Victor French in the lead role, he never returned to television. Henderson worked on eleven films with Clint Eastwood between 1982 and 1990 , from Honkytonk Man to two Dirty Harry films and Rookie - The Beginner . He was also involved in Richard Donner's first three Lethal Weapon films .

In 1986 he was nominated for the first time for an Oscar in the category Best Sound Editing for Der Tag des Falken ; a second nomination in the same category took place in 1990 for Brennpunkt LA In 1989 he was also nominated for Clint Eastwoods Bird for the BAFTA Film Award in the category Best Sound . The only award Henderson could win was the Golden Reel Award for Hawk's Day in 1986. He retired from the film business in 1996 after his last film, Ridley Scott's sports drama The Fan .
