Robert Giordani

Robert Giordani (born June 7, 1907 in Paris , † October 26, 1981 there ) was a French film architect .

Live and act

Giordani received his artistic training at the École Boulle and then worked as an interior decorator. In the 1930s, the Parisian worked mainly as a set designer before joining films when the German troops occupied France in 1940. Giordani designed his film structures almost exclusively for entertainment productions without too great artistic demands. In this role he worked with the directors Maurice Cloche , Jean Boyer , André Berthomieu and Bernard Borderie , for whom he created several late Angélique films. From the mid-1940s to the mid-1960s, Giordani designed the decorations for an abundance of comedies with France's No. 1 comedian Fernandel .
