Robert Huber (football official)

Robert Huber (* 1969 ) is a German local politician and a functionary of several American football associations.

Life

Robert Huber studied law , medieval and modern history as well as political science at the Johann Wolfgang Goethe University in Frankfurt am Main , where he also passed his first state examination in law. After legal training and the second state exam he worked as a lawyer in Obertshausen and there CDU - Group Chairman of the City Council .

Activity as an association official

Huber has been President of the American Football Association Germany (AFVD) since 1997 . From 2001 until its dissolution in 2014, he was also President of the European Federation of American Football (EFAF). From 2000 to 2008 he was Secretary General of IFAF. From 2008 to 2012 he was representative of the European Continental Association in the executive branch of the International Federation of American Football (IFAF). and since 2015 Vice President of IFAF. In 2016 he was appointed First Vice President of IFAF. Huber is also President of the American Football Association of Hesse and has been Vice President of the International Federation of Cheerleading since 2007 .

In March 2012, March 2016 and March 2020, Huber was unanimously confirmed as President of the AFVD in the general assembly.

Huber has been managing director of German Football Partners , a commercial subsidiary of AFVD for the exploitation of sports rights in the field of American football in Germany, and chairman of the board of German Football Fernsehen Produktions- und Vertriebsgenossenschaft e. G.
