from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Robert Jaffé (pseudonym: Max Aram ; born February 7, 1870 in Gnesen , Province of Posen , † June 20, 1911 in Charlottenburg ) was a writer.

The son of a Jewish merchant attended the local royal high school from 1879 to 1888, where he had to help out in his father's business for the last two years. In 1889 he began to study law in Berlin, which he broke off after two semesters to devote himself to writing as a freelancer for various magazines. In 1899 various articles appeared in the Jewish weekly newspaper Die Welt under the pseudonym Max Aram . He also wrote for The Present , The Literary Echo , The Reading and The Hammer .

A tragedy, a comedy and a novel by Jaffé can be proven.

According to his obituary, he died on June 20, 1911 in Berlin-Wilmersdorf after a brief illness. According to other reports, he cut his wrists in Grunewald. The Israelitisches Familienblatt reported in an obituary dated July 6, 1911 that he suddenly converted and became an anti-Semite.

Caesar Casper Aronsfeld (1910–2002) later worked for Jaffé.
