Robert Eusebiu Jitaru (* 31 December 1997 in Făurei ) is a Romanian boxer in the bantamweight .
successes
Robert Jitaru is bronze medalist of the European Youth Championships in 2014 and 2015, as well as gold medalist of the U22 European Championships in 2017 and 2018. He defeated Viliam Tankó , Peter McGrail and Tayfur Əliyev , among others .
In the European Olympic qualification in 2016 he was eliminated by Wasgen Safarjanz and in the European Championships in 2017 against José Quiles . Jitaru is also Romanian champion in 2016 and 2017.
In September 2018 he won the international Golden Belt Tournament in Romania by beating Michael McDonagh and Vasile Suciu. In June 2019 he took part in the European Games, where he was eliminated in the first fight.
