José Quiles Brotons (born October 19, 1997 in Murcia ) is a Spanish boxer .
successes
José Quiles is the 2015 Spanish youth flyweight champion and the 2016 Spanish bantamweight champion with a final victory over Kelvin de la Nieve . He was also a participant in the 2015 European Youth Championships in Poland and the 2017 U22 European Championships in Romania .
At the 2017 European Championships in Ukraine he defeated Robert Jitaru (5: 0), Ihsan Alagaş (4: 1) and Stefan Iwanow (3: 1), was eliminated in the semifinals against eventual European champion Peter McGrail (0: 5) and secured so a bronze medal in the bantamweight. He was qualified for the 2017 World Championships in Hamburg , where he was eliminated in the first fight against Omar El-Hag (0: 5).
At the U22 European Championships in 2018 in Târgu Jiu , he defeated Nemanja Gavrilović (5-0) and Erik Petrosyan (3-2), was eliminated in the semifinals against Tayfur Əliyev (1: 4) and thus won a bronze medal. At the 2018 EU Championships in Spain, he lost to Peter McGrail in the quarterfinals (0: 5). At the European Games in 2019 he was eliminated by Sharafa Raman (1: 4).
