Wasgen Grigorjewitsch Safarjanz ( Belarusian Вазген Сафар'янц ; Russian Вазген Григорьевич Сафарьянц ; English Vazgen Safaryants ; born October 22 or November 1984 in Ordzhonikidze , an armenian boxer of North Ossetian descent , ASSR , is a light-weight Soviet Boxer, of Belarusian descent, of Northern Ossetian descent.
Career
Wasgen Safarjanz, who trained at Dynamo Minsk , won a. a. In 2007, 2008, 2010 and 2016 the Belarusian championships. In 2006 he took part in the 36th European Championships in Plovdiv , where he won a bronze medal. He defeated the Hungarian Miklós Varga (50:30) in the second round and the Georgian Konstantin Kupatadze (45:24) in the quarter-finals, before losing to the Armenian Hratschik Jawachjan (16:25) in the semi- finals. In 2007 he started at the World Championships in Chicago and prevailed against Sharif Bogere from Uganda ( walkover ) and Muchtarchan Asimow from Kyrgyzstan (33: 9) before he narrowly defeated North Korean Kim Song-Guk 18:19 in the round of 16 had to.
At the 37th European Championships in Liverpool in 2008 , he achieved his most significant success to date. In December 2012 he won the World Cup of the Oil-Producing States in Russia, defeating the poor Tigran Simonjan (11: 8) and Samwel Barseghian (13: 5), as well as Ruslan Kamilow from Russia (14: 8). In June 2013 he again won a silver medal at the 40th European Championships in Minsk . He was only defeated in the final against Pavlo Ishchenko from Ukraine (0: 2) after he lost Lassi Seppälä from Finland (3: 0), Furkan Ulaş Memiş from Turkey (3: 0) and Kastriot Sopa from Germany (3: 0) had defeated.
At the 17th World Championships in Almaty in October 2013 , he lost in the second preliminary round against Elwin Isajew from Azerbaijan. At the World Cup of Oil-Producing States in Russia in 2014, he won a bronze medal in the lightweight. At the European Championships in 2015 he was defeated in the round of 16 against Domenico Valentino with 1: 2 and at the European Games 2015 in Baku in the quarter-finals against Mateusz Polski with 1: 2.
In 2016 he took part in the European Olympic qualification in Samsun , where he reached the quarter-finals and was eliminated from David Oliver Joyce . At the 2017 European Championships in Ukraine, he lost 3-2 in the first fight against Pavlo Ishchenko .
