Robert Lord

Robert Lord (born May 1, 1900 in Chicago , Illinois , USA ; † April 5, 1976 in Los Angeles , California , USA ) was an American screenwriter and film producer .

Life

Robert Lord began writing screenplays and literary templates for film productions in the mid-1920s. By 1937 he was involved in over 70 film scripts. From 1932 he was also involved in the production of films, which he continued after 1937. Until 1951 he worked on 45 film projects as a producer.

However, he had Robert Lord's greatest successes as a writer. In 1934 , he won the Oscar for Best Original Story for Journey of No Return . In 1938 he was nominated again in the same category for the Black Legion secret society .

On April 5, 1976, Robert Lord died in Los Angeles as a result of a heart attack.
