Robert Mühlich

Robert Mühlich (* 1981 in Bamberg ) is a German comic author and colorist .

Works

After drawing for the drawer, Robert Mühlich began working on his first larger comic story in 2003 in collaboration with Bastian Baier. The first volume of the fateful gnome trilogy was published in 2005 by Achterbahn Verlag in album format. After roller coaster was integrated as a segment in Lappan Verlag GmbH, there was no longer any interest in continuing the comic series. A new publishing home was found in the Zwerchfell Verlag . It was decided to publish the complete story of the fate gnome in a book for the Erlangen Comic Salon in 2008. In 2009 the book won the ICOM Independent Comic Prize for Outstanding Artwork. After a trip to Japan in 2010, he decided to develop a comic about karate again with Bastian Baier . The result, "Mister Origami", was published by Zwerchfell Verlag in 2014 at the Erlangen Comic Salon . In 2016, the short comic "Mr. Heidenreich's fabulous homeland and specialist lessons" followed. The result of the third cooperation with Bastian Baier. For the first time, the team published a self- published comic . The latter two publications each received an honorable mention at the ICOM Independent Comic Awards. Since 2006, Robert Mühlich has also published various short comics as a solo artist in JAZAM !, INKplosion, for Comicgate magazine and Panik Elektro . Between 2007 and 2008 he worked as a freelance comic artist for the German MAD magazine . He also drew between 2009 and 2012 on his own webcomic strip series called "Comiversum".

Awards

In 2009 Robert Mühlich won the ICOM Independent Comic Prize in the category “Outstanding Artwork” for Der Schicksalsgnom .
