Robert Mansel (constable)

Robert Mansel ( lat. Robertus Mansel, Antiochiæ ​​comestabulis , * around 1175, † after March 1219) was a constable of Antioch .

He belonged to the important Frankish Mansel family from Antioch . He was a son of the Sibylle from their first marriage, who in their third marriage the Prince Bohemond III. got married.

On May 22, 1207 he was first documented as constable of Antioch .

He himself married an Armenian woman, daughter of Constantine of Lambron , Lord of Barbaron and Partzapert , and half-sister of Hethum I of Lesser Armenia . He probably had two sons with her:
