Robert Mischke
Robert Mischke (* 10. March 1865 in Neuwied , † 27. March 1932 on Lahneck ) was a German vice-admiral in the First World War .
Life
From October 1905 to September 30, 1907, Mischke was the frigate captain in command of the small cruiser Frauenlob .
On September 1, 1910, now a sea captain , he put the first battle cruiser of the Imperial Navy , Von der Tann , into service, which he commanded until September 21, 1912.
From the time of mobilization on July 31, 1914 to January 8, 1917, Mischke was Vice Admiral in charge of the coastal defense division of the Baltic Sea.
Private
Mischke was a good sailor ; In 1905 he was a regatta participant as corvette captain for the Imperial Yacht Club at the Kieler Woche .
In 1907, Mischke acquired Lahneck Castle in Oberlahnstein . It is still in the possession of his descendants today.
