Robert Ockelmann
Robert Heinrich Ockelmann (born October 6, 1849 in Hamburg ; † October 25, 1915 in Dresden ) was a German sculptor who, among other things, made figures from Meissen porcelain .
Life
Ockelmann studied from 1869 to 1872 at the Berlin Art Academy and from 1873 to 1883 at the Dresden Art Academy under Johannes Schilling, among others . From 1883 he had his own studio in Dresden . As a sculptor, he made small sculptures from Meissen porcelain . In 1903 he lived in Dresden at Wittenbergerstraße 21. There were sculptures and statues by him in Hamburg in the church of St. Nikolai , the town hall and the art gallery , as well as in the court theater and in the Albertinum in Dresden.

- Sculpture group on the east facade of the Albertinum on the Brühlsche Terrasse in Dresden
- Ockelmann also made a medallion showing the painter Guido Hammer , Dresdner Heide
- Pulpit altar in the Loschwitz church , two sculptures of the apostles John and Paul
- Tomb for Karl Gustav Adolf Thomas in the cemetery of the Frauenkirche in Zittau (1887)
- After bathing (bronze statuette) exhibited in 1888 in the III. International art exhibition in the royal glass palace in Munich
- Satyr with a broken wine jug (bronze) exhibited from May 5 to September 16, 1900 in the Great Berlin Art Exhibition , in 1901 in the International Art Exhibition in Dresden and in 1904 in the Munich Annual Exhibition in the Royal Glass Palace.
