Robert Sparr

Robert Sparr (born September 10, 1915 , † August 28, 1969 in Colorado ) was an American film director , film editor and screenwriter .

Sparr's career was relatively short and spanned the years 1952 to 1969. He initially worked as an editor from 1952 and was involved in the editing of series such as Gunsmoke , Maverick and Crazy Wilder West . He was nominated for an Emmy in 1958 and 1959 for his work on Maverick .

From 1959 he turned increasingly to directing. He has directed episodes on television series such as Lassie , Perry Mason , Bonanza , Batman and Spaceship Enterprise .

Robert Sparr died in a plane crash at the age of 53.
