Robert Zelzer

Robert Zelzer (* 1967 in Vienna ) is an Austrian conductor .

Zelzer was initially a member and soloist of the Vienna Boys' Choir . He took cello lessons from Judith Bik. He completed his high school diploma at the Vienna Music School . He then studied bassoon (concert subject) with Camillo Öhlberger . He then began studying school and instrumental music at the Vienna University of Music , which he completed with the recognition prize of the Republic of Austria. He completed his training as a conductor with Uroš Lajovic and Leopold Hager .

Zelzer later sat in with Mariss Jansons and Nikolaus Harnoncourt .

Today he is the musical director of the orchestra association of the Gesellschaft der Musikfreunde in Vienna .
