Robert von Bemberg-Flamersheim

Robert von Bemberg-Flamersheim (born September 19, 1868 in Flamersheim , † January 30, 1949 at Flamersheim Castle ) was a German administrative lawyer.

Life

Robert von Bemberg was the son of the landowner and politician Julius von Bemberg, who was ennobled in 1884 . After graduating from high school in Elberfeld , he studied law at the universities of Heidelberg and Berlin. In Heidelberg he became active in the Corps Suevia Heidelberg in 1887 . After passing his exams, he turned to the Prussian administrative service and in 1897 became a government assessor. In 1904 he became district administrator of the Mülheim an der Ruhr district . In 1909 he became the chief of police in Essen . Robert von Bemberg was a member of the Rhenish Provincial Parliament. In 1919 he was given temporary retirement, and in 1933 he was finally retired. Since 1919 he has dedicated himself to the administration of his estate.
