Julius Peter Bemberg , from 1884 from Bemberg-Flamersheim , (born May 6, 1836 in Elberfeld (now part of Wuppertal ), Bergisches Land ; † June 1, 1903 at Flamersheim Castle (now part of Euskirchen ), Euskirchen district ) was a German Landowners and politicians.

His family came from the Bergisches Land from Hof ​​Bemberg near Hattingen an der Ruhr (came into family ownership at the end of the 16th century through marriage) and had belonged to the great industrialists of Elberfeld for generations. He was the son of Julius August Bemberg (1804–1847) and Caroline Wülfing, who acquired Flamersheim Castle and Ringsheim Castle as a widow in 1861 .

Bemberg married Anna Simons on March 26, 1863 in Elberfeld (born August 12, 1838 in Elberfeld; † October 18, 1930 at Flamersheim Castle). The couple had a daughter Anna Charlotte (who received Schloss Vettelhoven as a dowry ) and three sons Julius (in Ringsheim), Robert (in Flamersheim) and Paul .

On September 23, 1884, Bemberg was raised to the Prussian nobility at Schloss Brühl with the name "von Bemberg-Flamersheim" .

Life

Bemberg was landowner in Flamersheim and Ringsheim (both Rheinbach district), from 1878 a member of the Prussian State Economics College, the Agriculture Council and from 1886 was President of the Agricultural Association of the Rhine Province and a member of the Prussian State Council . From 1891 until his death (1903) Bemberg was a member of the Prussian manor house .
