Roberto Giannatelli

Roberto Giannatelli SDB (born June 26, 1932 ; † October 12, 2012 ) was a Roman Catholic theologian and communication scientist .

Life

Roberto Giannatelli joined the religious order of the Salesians of Don Bosco and was ordained a priest on February 11, 1960 .

He is emeritus in communication studies at the Pontifical University of the Salesians UPS in Rome , where he founded the Faculty of Social Communication. He was principal of UPS from 1983 to 1989.

Giannatelli is the longtime director of Intermed magazine. Since 1994 he has been intensively involved in media education. In 1996 he founded the "MED Media Education" (Italian Chamber for Education in the Media), of which he is honorary president today.
