Roberto Pucci
Roberto Pucci (born May 29, 1464 in Florence , † January 17, 1547 in Rome ) was a cardinal of the Roman Church .
Life
Roberto Pucci was the brother of Cardinal Lorenzo Pucci and the uncle of Cardinal Antonio Pucci . He was married to Bianca Lenzi († 1526) and had three sons and a daughter with her. He entered the clergy as a widower and father of four children after holding high offices in the city government of Florence, including as a senator. He became Bishop of Pistoia on August 8, 1541 , after his nephew Antonio had taken leave of this seat for him.
Roberto Pucci was born on June 2, 1542 by Pope Paul III. appointed cardinal priest with the titular church Santi Quattro Coronati . He was later transferred to Melfi and Rapolla and was a major penitentiary of the church until his death .
He was buried in the church of Santa Maria sopra Minerva in Rome, at the foot of the tomb of his brother, Cardinal Lorenzo Pucci .
