Antonio Pucci (cardinal)
Antonio Pucci (born October 8, 1485 in Florence , † October 12, 1544 in Bagnoregio ) was a cardinal of the Roman Church .
Life
He was a nephew of the Cardinals Lorenzo Pucci and Roberto Pucci .
As a participant in the Fifth Lateran Council , Pucci was nuncio in Switzerland from 1517 to 1521 . He was Bishop of Pistoia from 1518 until his resignation in 1541 . From 1529 to 1541 Pucci was Bishop of Vannes . From October 1, 1529 he was a major penitentiary .
Pope Clement VII appointed Pucci cardinal priest on September 22, 1531 , his titular church was Santi Quattro Coronati . On June 2, 1542 Pope Paul III raised him . to the cardinal priest with the titular church Santa Maria in Trastevere . He was cardinal bishop of the suburbicarian dioceses of Albano (1542/43) and Sabina (1543/44).
