Roberto Puppo (born January 15, 1937 in Rosario ) is a former Argentine football player who mainly acted in the attacking midfield and attack . After his active career, he worked as a football coach.

career

Puppo learned to play soccer at his hometown club Morning Star , which he joined at the age of 14. Puppo received his first professional contract in 1954 with the much more important city rival Newell's Old Boys , with whom he was under contract from 1954 to 1958. After further positions at Club Atlético Huracán and Unión de Santa Fe , Puppo joined the Argentinos Juniors in 1962 , with whom he was under contract until 1969. Then Puppo played for the Quilmes AC for another year .

After his active career, Puppo worked as a trainer and, among other things, looked after the Mexican first division club CD Irapuato from 1989 to 1991 .
