Roberto Tozzi

Roberto Tozzi (born December 17, 1958 in Rome ) is a former Italian sprinter who specialized in the 400-meter run .

His most significant achievement was winning the bronze medal in the 4 x 400 meter relay at the 1980 Olympic Games in Moscow. The Italian relay team with Tozzi, Mauro Zuliani , Stefano Malinverni and Pietro Mennea reached the goal in 3: 04.54 min, behind the teams of the Soviet Union (3: 01.08 min) and the GDR (3: 01.26 min) . Tozzi started in Moscow over 400 m, but retired in the quarter-finals. At the 1984 Olympic Games in Los Angeles, he finished fifth in the season.

Tozzi's best results as a single starter over 400 m were winning the Junior European Championship in 1977 in Donetsk and second place at the European Athletics Indoor Championships in 1984 in Gothenburg.

Roberto Tozzi is 1.80 m tall and weighed 72 kg during his playing days. He started for Pro Patria Pierrel.
