The Robertson River is a river in the north of the Australian state of Queensland .

River course

The river rises on the western slopes of the Newcastle Range in the Atherton Tablelands , a part of the Great Dividing Range . From there the Robertson River first flows north, before turning to the southwest after about 25 km. After another 110 km, it turns its course to the northwest and flows into the Gilbert River about 20 km north of North Head .
