The Robinson Heights are a mainly icy and up to 2170 m high mountain range in the north of the East Antarctic Victoria Land . With a length of 15 miles, it has an elliptical shape when viewed from above. The mountains rise south of the Anare Pass and form the northwestern end of the Admiralty Mountains .
The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names made the designation in 1964. It is named after the American geophysicist Edwin S. Robinson (* 1935), who worked at McMurdo Station in 1960 as part of the United States Antarctic Research Program and took part in an exploratory march to the Amundsen-Scott South Pole Station from 1962 to 1963 .
