The Robison Glacier is a wide glacier in Marie Byrd Land in West Antarctica . In the Queen Maud Mountains, it flows in a north-westerly direction along the north side of the La Gorce Mountains to the Scott Glacier .
It was discovered in December 1934 by the geological team around Quin Blackburn (1900-1981) on the second Antarctic expedition (1933-1935) of the US polar explorer Richard Evelyn Byrd . The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named him in 1967 after Lieutenant Commander Layton E. Robison of the United States Navy , pilot of the VX-6 flight squadron in Operation Deep Freeze in 1964, 1965 and 1966.
