Robot Hall of Fame
The Robot Hall of Fame is in 2003 from the School of Computer Science of Carnegie Mellon University launched Hall of Fame . It recognizes both outstanding developments in the field of robot technology and robots from the science fiction field that served as creative inspirations for robotics .
The robots are selected by a jury made up of international scholars, scientists, writers and designers. The jury members are determined by James H. Morris, Dean of Carnegie Mellon West. Past jury members include Minoru Asada , Gordon Bell , Arthur C. Clarke , Ray Jarvis , Steve Wozniak and Will Wright .
The nominations are selected from many different sources, including the official Hall of Fame website.
The nomination of new members will take place at a formal ceremony hosted by Carnegie Mellon University's School of Computer Science in conjunction with the Robotics Institute and the Entertainment Technology Center .
